As a part of the Leicester Tigers HITZ offer, the Leicester Tigers Foundation will be running a 15-week traineeship for young people aged 16-24, who are currently not in education, training or employment.
Starting on the January 10 2022, the traineeship is aimed at preparing young people with little to no experience for the world of work. Based in the inspiring setting of Mattioli Woods Welford Road, trainees will get the chance to experience what it is like to work in a successful sports stadium. The traineeship will include:
- Over 70 hours of work experience in the following settings: The Club Shop (retail), the ticket office, stadium hospitality, and match day stewarding
- Sector-specific and employability sessions aimed to develop skills that employers desire
- Recognised Maths and English qualifications (if needed)
