Thousands of up-and-coming rugby players from the Tigers Region the country took part in the Tigers U10s Cup over four weekends in October and November, including four regional festivals in Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Norfolk and Nottingham, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire.
70 clubs featured across the four weekends, with 24 invited to participate in pre-match events at Mattioli Woods Welford Road at the league fixtures against Saracens and Harlequins towards the end of the current Gallagher Premiership campaign.
Teams were scored based on several metrics including the fair play scoring system, core values and rugby performance.
Tigers past and present were in attendance to watch the next generation in action including Tom Manz, former skipper Tom Youngs and current Academy squad members Charlie Davies, Samuel Williams and George Pearson.
Speaking about another successful festival period, Leicester Tigers Head of Community Dan Hemingway said: "The Tigers U10 Cup continues to encapsulate the very best elements of our sport.
"We have been working hard to continue spreading the game across the Midlands and beyond and this festival plays a key role in that. This year marks thirty years since the very first Tigers U10 Cup and over the years we've seen the likes of Jack van Poortvliet and Freddie Steward take part in this rugby extravaganza.
"With over a thousand young players taking part this year, not only was the rugby fantastic but the commitment to the core values of the game was evident from every player involved. We can't wait for next year, where we hope to continue pushing the Tigers U10s Cup to even greater heights."
