Tigers spread festive cheer with hospital visits

Leicester Tigers players visited patients and NHS staff at two Leicester hospitals in the build-up to Christmas.

Ellis Genge, Telusa Veainu and Sam Aspland-Robinson travelled to Glenfield Hospital while Harry Wells, Gaston Cortes, Sione Kalamafoni and Sam Harrison took the time to visit the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Each year, Leicester Tigers look to surprise staff and patients at each of the local hospitals with a visit as the players meet and hear stories from each of the wards.

The players visited both adult and children's wards throughout each hospital, as well as families in Intensive Care Units.

Players also handed out signed programmes from this year for patients and families to read as well as chatting to the staff and posing for photos.

A huge thank you from all at Leicester Tigers to staff at Glenfield and the Leicester Royal Infirmary for inviting the players.
