Tigers fans are being encouraged to use the new park and ride service from Enderby to get to Saturday's match against Gloucester Rugby at Welford Road.
The park and ride terminates in the city centre but has a stop outside Leicester Royal Infirmary, a short walk from the Welford Road stadium.
The service runs every ten minutes until 7pm, Monday to Saturday.
A day ticket costs £3 and a group ticket for up to five passengers travelling together is just £3.50.
Supporters can use the new service to arrive in plenty of time for the 3pm kick off against Gloucester.
Lesley Pendleton, Leicestershire County Council cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: “We hope that with space for 1,000 cars, the new park and ride from Enderby can help to ease some of the matchday congestion and take away some of the hassle of finding a parking space close to the Tigers stadium.”
Charles Rayner, head of stadium operations at Leicester Tigers, said: “It’s fantastic news that our supporters will be able to make use of the new park and ride.
“The opening of the new Caterpillar Stand this season means that attendances are exceeding 20,000 and the new service will make it easier than ever for supporters to get to and from the ground while removing the need to find city-centre parking.”
The new park and ride service is a joint project between the City and County Councils, and construction partners Tarmac.
