Leicester Tigers wing Alesana Tuilagi has been suspended from playing for one week following an internal disciplinary hearing held on Tuesday.
Club officials reviewed the incident which led to his citing following the Heineken Cup quarter-final victory over Bath Rugby for an alleged tackle without the ball on Nick Abendanon in contravention of Law 10.4 (f).

A club statement said: “Alesana Tuilagi accepted his guilt of the offence. He has been banned by the club for seven days and has consequently been withdrawn from playing in the Guinness Premiership this weekend.”
Tuilagi is due to appear before an independent disciplinary committee as a result of the citing. Date and venue are yet to be confirmed.
