Dan Cole says the Leicester Tigers squad are focused on winning Sunday's European Rugby encounter with Racing 92 despite being unable to qualify for the next stage of this season's Champions Cup.
Speaking with LTTV from the venue for the Round 6 clash, following the Tigers Captain's Run, Cole also said the side remains strong willed despite a disappointing few months across both European and Aviva Premiership fixtures.
"We've had a good week," Cole said.
"The focus is on winning this game and we've come through a tough period but, we have stayed strong and will continue plugging away."
"The aim now is to get that result against one of the best teams in Europe."
With many labeling the clash a 'dead rubber' due to Leicester's unfortunate end to any chance of qualification in Castres last weekend, Cole said the match remained a 'big challenge' due to the visitors need for victory to ensure their own progression.
"It's a big challenge tomorrow," the England international said.
"Racing need to win to qualify and will bring their A game. It's going to be a good game."
The match not only doubles as Leicester's 150th appearance in the European competition but is also a milestone for front-rower who brings up a half century for Tigers in Champions Cup matches.
When asked about the achievement, the reserved Cole said it felt 'alright' to reach the landmark.
"It feels alright," he said with a smirk.
"I am proud to have play for Leicester in one game in Europe let alone fifty."
How do Tigers beat the Paris-based, star-studded Racing side?
Well, Cole had a simple solution when asked.
"Score more points."
