This season, we are asking Leicester Tigers supporters to play their part in helping prepare the side like never before.
Take this as an official request from the players and coaches.
Your passion is unrivalled anywhere, worldwide, in this great game of ours and Dan McKellar is calling on you to show it, physically, by factoring it in to the pre-match schedule for his players at home games.
In the 23/24 campaign, the matchday squad will be marching into the match - literally - side by side with supporters.
The walk from changing room, down the famous Terrace steps at Mattioli Woods Welford Road has been a part of matchdays at home for as long as any Leicester Tigers fan has been alive.
This season, we're adding to it with THE PLAZA PROWL.
Starting this Saturday (September 9), when we kick-off the season with a Premiership Rugby Cup clash with Caldy RFC at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, the matchday squad will be walking from Hotel Brooklyn, across the Plaza, through the Final Whistle Bar and under the Tradeview Stand on to the pitch.
What does this mean for you?
90 minutes before kick-off on matchdays at home, rugby's best mascot - Welford - will lead the team through thousands of Leicester Tigers fans, rubbing shoulders with one another, to set the mood among the squad and remind them of who they are representing on the pitch.
What do you have to do?
Find a spot somewhere on the Plaza or in The Final Whistle to cheer the players and coaches on as they prowl - like Tigers do - proudly through you to where the battle takes place ... the Mattioli Woods Welford Road pitch.
How will it work?
Stewards and Staff will be scattered throughout the route, which will be from the hotel entrance, via The Club Shop, around The Foundation Monument, across the Plaza, through Reception and then the Final Whistle, under the Tradeview Stand and on to the pitch.
Players and coaches will have their game faces on, soaking up the atmosphere, and therefore it isn't a chance for selfies or signatures, but one for you to clap, cheer and chant to let them know you have got their back.
So ... what now?
Get excited. Simple.
Wait for the PA announcement 95 minutes before the game is scheduled to get underway and then get yourself in position, follow the instructions of Stewards and Staff to make sure the experience is as enjoyable - and safe - as possible.
Then, once the players and coaches have found their way on to the pitch, enjoy the rest of your pre-match before cheering as loud as you can from your seat or spot on the Terrace during the game.
We only do things BIG at Leicester Tigers. We only do things together.
