Four Leicester Tigers players have been named in the Scotland Squad for the inaugural WXV 2 competition.

Leah Bartlett, Eva Donaldson, Elis Martin and Francesca McGhie are all included in the 30-woman squad, whilst Tigers centre Evie Wills has been ruled out of the tournament through injury.

Scotland will travel to South Africa to take part in three matches, against the Springboks, the USA and Japan, in the first edition of the three-tier international tournament that World Rugby hope will serve as a meaningful pathway to the various unions and aid plans for an expanded, 16-team, Rugby World Cup in 2025.

The quartet will then return to the midlands at the beginning of November to bolster the Tigers squad ahead of the commencement of the 2023/24 Allianz Premiership Women's Rugby season, with Tigers' opening round fixture confirmed against Exeter Chiefs for the weekend of November 18, at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
