Leicester Tigers lock/back-row forward Cameron Henderson is in line to make his Scotland debut this weekend against Italy, having been named on the bench for the Saturday 29 July clash in Edinburgh.

23-year-old Henderson had enjoyed a breakout season for Tigers, forming a formidable pairing in a young second-row with Tigers' Players Player of the Year George Martin, as the pair consecutively started the final six competitive matches of the season together. Since his move from Glasgow Warriors to the Midlands in 2020, Henderson has made 37 appearances for the club, scoring six tries win the process.

Despite being born in Hong Kong, the 6 foot 7 lock has represented Scotland across age grade rugby, a time that included travelling to Argentina to compete in the 2019 World Rugby Under-20 Championship.

The weekend's game will see Scotland begin finalising preparations for this Autumn's World Cup, where they will look to tackle a difficult group also containing holders South Africa and the world's number one ranked team Ireland as well as tough tests against Tonga and Romania.

This weekend's match will kick-off at 3.15PM from Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh and can be watched on Amazon Prime or Viaplay.
