A group of season ticket holders gained the once-in-a-lifetime to experience of what it is like to be a Leicester Tigers player in front of a big crowd at Welford Road on Sunday.
The supporters were all winners in a Tigers Times competition and ran out on the famous pitch to take part in a special edition of The Ultimate Big Boot at half-time in front of a 23,000-plus crowd.
Scott Lovett was also part of the group and said: “I’ve been a season ticket holder for 15 years so it was good fun to be able to walk out on to the pitch and see the crowd.
“The Big Boot is much harder than it looks, I’ll tell you, and it’s quite hard to judge the distance. But it’s a great experience.”
Chris Morris, from the Holland & Barrett Stand, was among the group of fans who made three catches from their 10 attempts and said: “It’s great fun, especially with one of my mates in the front of the stand shouting at me!”
The Ultimate Big Boot, sponsored by De Montfort University, is open to group bookings at Tigers. For more details, contact the Group Sales team by phoning 0116 2171 216 or email [email protected].
