Leicester Tigers will play the first leg of the Guinness A League final against London Wasps at Henley on Monday, April 16 (7.30pm kick-off).
A 69-20 victory over Sale Jets at Welford Road on Monday evening secured top spot in the A League Northern Conference for Tigers and ensured their appearance in a third successive final, while Wasps were the runaway winners of the southern conference.
The meeting will be a repeat of the 2004/05 A League final, won by Tigers over the home-and-away legs.
Due to the demands on both clubs during the end-of-season run-in - both sides are still in contention in the Heineken Cup and in the running for a play-off place in the Guinness Premiership, while Tigers also have the final of the EDF Energy Cup this weekend - the second leg will be held on Monday, May 7 at Welford Road (7pm kick-off).
Tickets details for the home leg are currently being discussed. Look out on the Tigers official club website at www.leicestertigers.co.uk for further information.
