Fans return to stadium to see Tigers train

A number of Leicester Tigers supporters were some of the first fans to return to Mattioli Woods Welford to watch live rugby as the Tigers squad prepared for their Round 21 Gallagher Premiership match.

Tigers welcome Bristol Bears in the first home fixture in front of supporters since March 2020 following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Members of the Tigers Family enjoyed a brunch in one of the club’s executive boxes watching the team run through their final preparations ahead of the penultimate weekend of matches of the 2020/21 campaign.

Fans enjoyed a view from the stadium’s vantage points including sausage and bacon baps, teas coffees and alcoholic refreshments watching Steve Borthwick put his team through their paces.

Social distancing protocols were in place with face masks not required to be worn when viewing from the balcony or inside each designated box.
