Matt Toomua says home form will be “massive” in Europe as this season’s Champions Cup was officially launched today.
Toomua and head coach Matt O’Connor represented Tigers at the launch event in Coventry.
They were joined by senior players and coaches from Bath Rugby, Exeter Chiefs, Harlequins, Northampton Saints, Saracens and Wasps, the other English representatives in the Champions Cup.
Toomua and O’Connor conducted a series of interviews for TV, radio, print and online publications, including LTTV, as well as posing for official photographs.
And Toomus said: “Home form is massive. With the other teams having to travel you want to create an environment that is hostile for the other teams.
“We love playing at Welford Road. It is huge for us.”
