Leicester Tigers players got off to a winning start in the opening round of the 2025 Guinness Women's Six Nations.

Three Tigers saw pitch time across week one victories for England and Scotland.

On Saturday, Leah Bartlett came off the bench to power over with a low drive through multiple defenders to help the Scots pick up an invaluable home win over Wales, the final score finishing 24 - 21.

Although she didn't score, Francesca McGhie was a constant menace throughout - her chase and tackle helped set up a try for Emma Orr early in the second half, with the wing finishing the match with 10 defenders beaten, five offloads and 124 carry metres.

In the weekend's final match, Amy Cokayne scored the final try of the first half to help the Red Roses defeat Italy and continue a Six Nations unbeaten streak that stretches back to 2018.

Cokayne seized on a loose ball from the line out and dived at the line to score her 33rd try in her 80th appearance.

Following a home match apiece, the two sides continue their campaign this weekend on the road. Scotland travel to France, whilst England are set to do battle with Wales.

The two sides penultimate game in the tournament will see them both travel to Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Saturday, April 19 when Leicester plays host to the round four match between the Red Roses and Scotland (4.45pm).
