Christmas is well and truly here and we caught up with Tigers fans ahead of last weekend’s visit of Munster in the European Champions Cup.
Meet auntie and niece Julie and Emmy Russell from Oakham who have been Tigers season ticket holders for a number of years.
Julie said: “We always stand on the South Stand as it’s the best atmosphere. The rest of the family usually join us but they couldn’t make today – but we didn’t want to miss it. We love everything from the rugby, to the Christmas markets – not forgetting the mulled wine!”
Emmy added: “Welford Road is a great stadium and we always have a great time when we come down to cheer on the lads. It’s got a bit cold in recent weeks, but that’s why the terrace is so great as every huddle’s together to keep warm.”
Our #MeetTheFamily team will be out and about at this weekend’s Christmas Eve fixture against Saracens on Sunday. So be sure to keep an eye out and smile for our photographer.
