This season, as part of our #MeetTheFamily campaign, we are getting to know members of the Tigers Family and learning their stories on how they came to find their places in the stands at Welford Road.
Fans come from far and wide to enjoy match days at our historic home, which this season is celebrating its 125th year, and every supporter has their own unique story.
Meet Robert and Julie, husband and wife, who travel in each game day from Nottingham to see their team in action.
Introduced to Tigers by Julie’s son nearly a decade ago, with tickets gifted as part of the club’s Mother and Son Day, she’s been hooked ever since!
“I came as part of one of the Mother and Son Days, which was bought for me by my son,” said Julie.
“I fell in love with the place and have been addicted ever since!” Season Ticket Holders now seven years, Robert and Julie are part of the club’s infamous Terrace supporters and each home game find their place among the Tigers Family standing faithful due to their love of “atmosphere” and “passion” on the South Stand steps.
While the likes of Jonny May and Telusa Veainu are the usual stars in the eyes of supporters, lighting up the Welford Road pitch with their attacking prowess, it’s a different feeling for this couple who list their favourites as England internationals Dan Cole (Julie) and Ellis Genge (Robert), due to the front-rowers work rates.
