Tigers welcome more than 20,000 fans to each home game here at Welford Road and we’ve heard some great stories about how helpful and friendly our team of stewards are on matchdays.
So in this week’s #MeetTheFamily, we caught up with five stewards who work around the ground to see what matchday are like in the bright orange coats.
Earlier in the season, we chatted to David, Samantha, Anne, Bev and Pat who have between them more than 35 years’ experience.
David said: “This is my first season with Tigers in a stewarding role and it’s been a fantastic atmosphere every time. I’ve followed Tigers for years so it’s great to have a front row seat to all the action, as well as offering a helping hand to fans around the ground.”
Bev and Pat who have worked at Welford Road for 15 and 10 years, added: “We’ve had some great times here over the years and a lot of that comes from our interaction with the fans.
“Obviously, our job is to help out but you can’t help but get caught up in the action and there’s no better place to work.”
