Throughout the season, we’ve been hearing from fans on Leicester Tigers matchdays about why they love Welford Road.

At the Sale Sharks match, we met Luke Barrett from Lincoln and his partner Claire who was attending her first-ever Tigers game.

At their spot on the Terrace before kick off, Luke told us: “Welford Road is the closest stadium to us and I’ve been coming down for a few years with friends to watch Tigers in action. I thought I’d bring along Claire to show her what all the fuss is about.”

Claire said: “I’m excited for the match to kick off. It’s been a great atmosphere in the build-up and everyone’s in a top mood.

“I’ve wrapped up warm and got my Tigers woolly hat on so I’m fully prepared for my first match.”

Luke’s favourite players are the Youngs brothers Tom and Ben. “It’s great to see when both brothers are on the pitch,” he said. “Obviously they play different positions so have different qualities, but you’d want both of them next to you out there!”
