Leicester Tigers supporter Gordon Smith described the Tryline Club as "the perfect matchday experience" when he was named Season Ticket Holder of the Match at Welford Road on Sunday.Gordon and his wife Sue, from Thrapston in Northamptonshire, were picked out as the weekly winners – though they may have preferred to stay in the warm and dry of the Tryline Club in the Goldsmiths Stand rather than share a moment in the spotlight on the pitch just as the rain was at its heaviest at half-time in the win over Bath!
“This is my 25th or 26th season as a season ticket holder,” said Gordon.
“We’ve been in different places around the ground but now we’re in the Tryline Club. It’s the perfect matchday experience for us there.”
To recognise their contribution, the club has launched the Season Ticket Holder of the Match benefit when one fan selected at random and three family members and/or friends have the chance to experience hospitality Tigers style.
There will be another Season Ticket Holder of the Match at the next home game, against European visitors Munster Rugby on Sunday, December 20.
