Leicester Tigers flanker Emeka Ilione has renewed with the club, signing a new deal after some breakout performances this season.
A product of the club’s development pathways programme, Ilione has made 38 appearances in Tigers colours to date, including 16 games so far in the current campaign.
The 22-year-old made his senior club debut against London Irish in 2022, and captained England U20 in the same year.
The former Rugby School student has also juggled his early professional rugby career with studying medicine at the University of Nottingham.
Speaking on his new deal with the club, Ilione said: "I'm delighted to be staying at Tigers."
"Since joining the academy, all I've wanted to do was play for the first team so getting the chance to do that pretty consistently this season has been amazing.
"I'm grateful to the club for how they have supported me, particularly with my studies and I'm excited for what this group can become."
