Leicester Tigers will kick off the new Gallagher Premiership season with a trip to Exeter Chiefs before welcoming Newcastle Falcons to Welford Road in Round 2 in September.
The fixture programme for the 2018/19 season has been revealed this morning by Premiership Rugby, including confirmed kick-off dates and times for the opening nine rounds up to the beginning of December.
Tigers begin the season with a trip to Sandy Park to face 2016/17 champions Exeter Chiefs on Saturday September 1 (4.30pm), then welcome Dean Richards and the Falcons to Welford Road for the opening home game of the campaign on Saturday, September 8 (3.00pm), a day which will also feature the annual Tigers In The Park events in the build-up to kick-off.
After a short trip to Wasps, Tigers host Worcester Warriors in Round 4. Kick-off date and time of this fixture is subject to alteration due to a fixture clash with Leicester City FC who are at home to Huddersfield Town that weekend.
Tigers host Sale Sharks in a second successive home fixture before facing Northampton Saints in the final league game before attention turns to the opening rounds of Europe and the new Premiership Rugby Cup through October and into November.
The first half of the season also features a Friday night trip to Gloucester and a visit to Premiership newcomers Bristol Bears as well as a home date with Saracens.
Tigers are at home to Harlequins on the weekend before Christmas and go to Bath a week later. Bath have today confirmed they will play local rivals Bristol in The Clash at Twickenham in April after welcoming Tigers to HQ in each of the last two seasons.
The opening game of 2019 will be against Gloucester at Welford Road.
Tigers are on home turf, too, in the final round of league fixtures, as Bath are scheduled to travel to Welford Road in Round 22.
The 2018/19 season, now under the Gallagher Premiership banner, kicks off on Friday, August 31 with a West Country derby between Bristol Bears and Bath, live on BT Sport.
Tigers season tickets are available now, including entry to all home fixtures in the Gallagher Premiership as well as pool stages of Europe’s Heineken Champions Cup and the new Premiership Rugby Cup, and the pre-season fixture against London Irish on Friday, August 24.
