Leicester Tigers have agreed terms with Dan Lancaster, allowing the 20-year-old an early release from his contract.
Lancaster made 5 appearances for Tigers this season, featuring in each of the club’s matches during the 21/22 Premiership Rugby Cup.
Prior to joining Tigers ahead of the 21/22 campaign, he represented hometown club Leeds Tykes and was a member of the Grand Slam winning England Under-20s squad in 2021.
Speaking about the release, Leicester Tigers Head Coach Steve Borthwick said: “Firstly, I want to thank Dan for his contribution to the club and what we are building at Leicester Tigers.
“He joined us at an important time and, while only here for a short period, has made a great impact in the group and was a key part of our run to the Premiership Cup semi-finals.
“I wish him all the best for the next chapter in his rugby career.”
Lancaster’s release from Leicester Tigers is effective immediately.
