Leicester Tigers have agreed a new deal with Dan Kelly.
The centre has made 52 appearances for the club since his debut in August 2020.
Kelly joined Tigers from National League club Loughborough Students after previously being a part of the Sale Sharks Academy.
He represented Ireland at Under-20 age-grade level before making the move to Leicester and made his senior Test debut for England in July 2021.
Kelly was a member of the Premiership Final winning matchday squad that defeated Saracens at Twickenham in June 2022 and earned a recall to the national senior squad for the 2023 Six Nations.
Speaking about the renewal, Leicester Tigers Head Coach Richard Wigglesworth said: “It’s great that Dan has got this new deal, which is well earned.”
“He is a tough and energetic young man, who adds so much to our group.
“Dan has a huge desire to continually improve not only himself but the team.
“He is one of the many young impressive men who are going to help shape this club in the future.”
Discussing the new deal, Kelly said: “I am really happy to be staying in such a good environment.”
“It has been a tough time with injury in the past six months and I am very grateful the club has kept the faith in me. It was an easy decision for me to want to stay.
“I want to continue to be a part of this group with such great lads around me in a great environment that is going to get the best out of me.”
