Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Matt Hampson Foundation charity day at Welford Road on Saturday.
Foundation volunteers promoted its ‘Get Busy Living’ message and handed out wristbands and scrum caps as part of a capacity crowd at the last home game of the Leicester Tigers season to help increase awareness of its work with young people seriously injured through sport.
Matt Hampson forwards his gratitude to everyone who made a contribution to the day.
“I just want to say a massive thank-you to everyone for their support at Saturday's game,” says Matt.
“Tigers really helped us raise the awareness of the Foundation and we send a huge thank-you to everyone involved. More than £6,000 was raised on the day – thank you all, enjoy the rest of the season and Get Busy Living!”
Among the matchday guests at the game were members of the Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team who were presented to the crowd at half-time as they celebrated their Division Two title win in their first season backed by the Foundation.
