Leicester Tigers are delighted to announce The Chairman’s Lounge, an all-new premium matchday hospitality experience ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Situated in the North Stand of Mattioli Woods Welford Road, The Chairman’s Lounge will provide an intimate and relaxed atmosphere for a matchday experience like no other.
The Chairman's Lounge will feature a premium dining experience that is inspired by the rich diversity of cultures within Leicester, complimentary drinks throughout the day and a private walkway which opens out to padded seats that's situated on the halfway line, providing unrivalled views of the action on the pitch.
When asked about the launch of a new premium Hospitality offering, Mark Davies, Chief Revenue Officer, said: "We are delighted to welcome the Chairman’s Lounge experience to our matchday offering here at Mattioli Woods Welford Road ahead of the upcoming season. The near sell out of all seasonal lounges and boxes shows just how far we have developed our hospitality post-pandemic, which has been achieved through the creation of different experiences throughout the stadium and relevant to the needs of all supporters.
"This new Chairman’s Lounge experience is the result of a lot of work analysing market trends both within sport and the Midlands as well as listening to our current supporters and how they want to enjoy a Tigers matchday, and the result is a fresh, exciting and unique lounge package that stands shoulder to shoulder with all of our other matchday offerings.
It will be a great addition to the Club’s corporate packages moving forward and a great tribute to the Chairman Peter Tom and we can’t wait for supporters to experience it.”
The lounge is named in honour of long-standing Leicester Tigers chairman Peter Tom, who marks 30 years in the position this year, having taken up the honours in 1993.
A true club legend, Tom made 130 appearances for Tigers between 1963 and 1968 and has been a pivotal figure in guiding the club over many decades of success.
When asked about the opening of the new Lounge, Tom said: “As everyone knows, Tigers has been a massive part of my life, from my playing days through to becoming Chairman 30 years ago. It gives me great pride to see how the Club is developing post-covid and the demand and subsequent necessity for this new lounge is further testament to the direction we are heading in.
“I am honoured and humbled for the new facility to pay homage to myself and everything we’ve achieved together and I look forward to sharing many more memories with those within the Lounge this coming season.”
The Chairman's Lounge is being built off the back of the incredible demand for hospitality offerings at Leicester Tigers, with the 502 Lounge, Clubhouse and Tryline Club all sold out ahead of the 2023/24 season, with the Executive Suites and the 1880 Club nearing capacity. The perfect setting for a unique matchday experience, the Chairman's Lounge is set to open ahead of our Gallagher Premiership fixtures in October, with the following package available for all Premiership and Champions Cup home games:
