Pupils at Taylor Road Primary School in Leicester city centre enjoyed a visit from Leicester Tigers player Kyran Bungaroo as part of the school's Aspiration Week.
Leicester Tigers community department teamed up with the school, which is a part of the United Leicester Programme, as they aim to inspire the sportsmen and women of the future.
Professionals from a number of sports visited the school, with Kyran, who joined Tigers development squad in the summer of 2019, on hand to take part in a Q&A with pupils who had prepared questions for him.
Being a city centre school, Leicester Tigers have been working over the past few years to create more opportunities for youngsters to take part in rugby, who may not have access to equipment and coaching, as well as local clubs.
Part of the success has been the formation of the Leicester Tigers Swifts team, which welcomes young players from the black, asian and ethnic minority community to develop their rugby skills.
The club is aimed at boys and girls in year six at primary schools in across Leicester and the local area with free sessions taking place on Mondays, 4:30pm - 5:30pm at Judgemeadow Community College (Marydene Drive, Leicester, LE5 6HP).
