Leicester Tigers have given their support to an open-air charity concert in aid of Spinal Research.

Rob Bryant is organising a gig starring Queen tribute band The Bohemians at Mallory Park on Saturday, August 8.

Matt Hampson and new Tigers captain Geordan Murphy have given the concert their backing.

Rob, who was paralysed following a motorbike accident on his way home from a Leicester City game in 1997, hopes Tigers fans will go along.

He said: “After months of planning I cannot believe it is a week away. I’m sure everyone who is coming will have a fantastic night out.”

Gates open at 6pm. The event includes Billy Bates funfair and a pre-show and interval DJ as well as licensed bars and hot food stands.

Tickets are £15 per person with children under 12 free. They are available from Mallory park on 01455 842931, online at www.mallorypark.co.uk/Charity_Concert or  in person from the Mallory Park ticket office.
