Leicester Tigers have signed two players to the club's women's squad on short-term contracts ahead of the new season.
Front-row duo Nikki Simpson and Zainab Alema have joined the squad ahead of the side's first match, this Saturday (September 14) at Mattioli Woods Welford Road against Sale Sharks in the PWR Up Series.
Simpson has made the move to Tigers from Glasgow Warriors, where she featured in the Celtic Challenge, while Alema has made to the move to the East Midlands from Championship club Richmond.
Speaking about the duo Head Coach Tom Hudson said: “It is great to have add to two talented, young front-rowers to our programme to bolster the ranks for us in the pack."
"Nikki and Zainab are players with great potential and I am confident will continue to improve their games as part of our squad, stepping up to Premiership level."
Simpson and Alema are available for selection for Saturday's PWR Up fixture at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
