Tigers season ticket holder Jon Carter was the lucky name to be drawn as the winner of a year’s supply of Stowford Press cider.
Jon, who sits in the Holland & Barrett stand with his eldest son Jude, was picked from more than 400 entrants as the winner of the competition, which was launched on ‘World Cider Day’ last month to celebrate the new partnership.
Stowford Press cider is the official cider partner of Leicester Tigers and will be introduced in the 2018/19 season in all bars around Welford Road.
Jon’s wife Caroline was at their home in Lutterworth in Leicestershire to receive the first delivery of the year’s supply, posing for a photo with Tigers senior partnerships executive Sophie Bylina.
Jon said: “I feel very lucky to have won, and a little bit daunted now that the boxes have arrived and I’ve found out how much a year’s supply actually is!"
“I don’t often enter competitions, but I’m glad I did - and my mates are too. Maybe it’s the great weather we’re having at the moment that made me have a cider craving. A big thank you to the club and Westons Cider.
“Jude and I sit in the Holland & Barrett stand right above where the Big Boot half-time game takes place. It’s been great to see how well Jonny May has done for England in South Africa. He is Jude’s favourite player and hopefully he can keep that form going into the new season,” he added.
