Rugby School hosts the Leicester Tigers Academy's international fixture against Wales Under-18s this Sunday.Tigers have established strong links with international representative sides in recent years, with age-group teams from England, Wales, Scotland, France and Canada among the visitors to Welford Road, while the team faced Georgia Under-20s during the early pasrt of this season.
The match against Wales Under-18s is at Rugby School, the birthplace of the game, this Sunday (February 22) at 2.30pm.
“There are great facilities at Rugby School, which is obviously an historic venue, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to play there this weekend in a big game,” said Academy assistant manager Tosh Askew.
“Playing against representative sides is a very useful part of the programme because these fixtures provide a test for the squad.
“We’ve played against Welsh representative sides for a number of years now and they see these fixtures as excellent preparation for their own international season.”
Tigers Academy face further international opposition when England Clubs & Schools Under-18s come to Oval Park on Saturday, March 21 (kick-off at noon).
