England Elite Squad men George Chuter and Tom Croft will lead Leicester Tigers’ challenge at the Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham on Saturday.

Croft was among the stars of Leicester’s run to the final in August 2006 and has since gained senior international honours to add to his age-group recognition.

Chuter has been named as captain of a squad which also features South Africa international Marco Wentzel and England Saxons forward Richard Blaze.

The squad also includes a number of younger players hoping to make an impression at English rugby’s HQ, including Manu Tuilagi, Finlay Barnham and Rickie Aley.

The Middlesex Sevens, a traditional curtain-raiser to the new season, this year features teams from the Ospreys, Dragons, British Army and Neil Back’s Leeds Carnegie as well as the 12 Guinness Premiership sides.
