Croft was among the stars of Leicesters run to the final in August 2006 and has since gained senior international honours to add to his age-group recognition.
Chuter has been named as captain of a squad which also features South Africa international Marco Wentzel and England Saxons forward Richard Blaze.
The squad also includes a number of younger players hoping to make an impression at English rugbys HQ, including Manu Tuilagi, Finlay Barnham and Rickie Aley.
The Middlesex Sevens, a traditional curtain-raiser to the new season, this year features teams from the Ospreys, Dragons, British Army and Neil Backs Leeds Carnegie as well as the 12 Guinness Premiership sides.
Dragons and London Irish set the ball rolling at 10.40am, with Tigers opening against London Wasps at 12.40pm. The action continues throughout the afternoon, with the final scheduled for 6.10pm
