International round-up | Tigers shine in weekend's action

From George Pearson's England U20 debut on Friday night, to Jack van Poortvliet starring for England A' on Sunday afternoon, Leicester Tigers players were at the forefront of international rugby this past weekend.

The Guinness Six Nations served up two tense encounters on Saturday, with Tommy Reffell and Nicky Smith both putting in mammoth shifts for Wales against Ireland.

Reffell capped an outstanding display with a try, while Smith showed why he could be a bolter for British and Irish Lions selection at loosehead prop. Smith had his hands full after the game too, this wholesome family clip being shared by the BBC.

Tigers' England contingent stood tall against Scotland, led by an inspiring game from Ollie Chessum. Joe Heyes played his part off the bench as well as England closed out a tight to reclaim the Calcutta Cup.

Will Hurd came on for Scotland late in the piece for what will have been an emotional game for the Ashby native, and another significant milestone in his young international career.

Sunday's England A' fixture began with a Tigers try, Ollie Hassell-Collins going over in the corner. Van poortvliet scored next, and what a try it was.

Jamie Shillcock had some nice touches too as a finisher, England dominant in victory against Ireland A', 28-12.
