Steward's Big Tackle (v Exeter Chiefs)
A mammoth hit from the full back set the tempo in a physical matchup.
Spotting centre Joe Hawkins had made a break in midfield, Steward steps into the line and executes the tackle with textbook technique.
Hitting low, he stops Hawkins in full flight before pumping his legs and driving him back five metres.
Reffell's Winning Try (v Exeter Chiefs)
If Steward's tackle set the tone, Reffell's try put a bow on a gritty performance.
Behind on the scoreboard with the clock in the red, Tigers had to bare their teeth and graft in order to earn a result at Sandy Park.
Reffell's low, driving score exemplified the exemplary effort from across the side and meant Tigers returned to Leicester with an opening day win.
Shillcock 50.22 (v Bath Rugby)
Tigers had begun the match under the cosh, defending brilliantly to hold up two successive attempted tries from Bath Rugby.
Finally winning the ball back in open play, Shillcock brilliantly flipped the momentum of the match, hitting a grubber from way inside his own half that incisively bounced out just five metres from the Bath try line.
