Leicester Tigers and Wilo have completed their hunt for the ‘Greenest Tiger' and would like to thank all Tigers fans who took the time to enter.
The 'Greenest Tiger' was awarded to the most sustainable Tigers fan on Saturday, May 6 at half-time of the Round 24 match with Harlequins by Lee Tebbatt, Managing Director at Wilo.
Olivia Bennett was awarded the Greenest Tiger as the judges were particularly impressed with the significant lifestyle changes she made in order to help the environment.
Olivia walks to every game at Mattioli Woods Welford Road and encourages friends joining her at the game to either get public transport or park and walk in.
She makes a point to recycle the cups used at every game and still uses old Tigers cups in her own house.
Olivia changed her diet to eliminate meat purely for environmental reasons, plants bee-friendly flowers every year and chooses to buy products with minimal waste.
When asked about presenting Olivia with the accolade of 'Greenest Tiger', Lee Tebbatt, Managing Director of Wilo said 'We would like to thank all Tigers fans who took the time to enter, we were impressed with the passion many had for being green whilst a Tigers fan. Olivia stood out as she showcases real dedication ensuring she is a sustainable Leicester Tigers fan immersing her values in her everyday and matchday experience. Well done Olivia, see you next season!'
Congratulations to Olivia who will enjoy two season tickets for the 2023/24 season!
