Leicester Tigers will have two players featuring in this week's 2024 Women's Cup, while club chairman Rob Tarr will represent the team as Head Coach.
Hayley Cassin and Faye West are the two Tigers ready to represent Team GB, who are aiming to retain their title having triumphed in the tournament's inaugural edition in 2023.
Cassin will make her debut on the international stage and will make history as the side's youngest competitor at just 16 years old.
Having helped Leicester Tigers to last year's WR5s Premiership title, Cassin will look to bolster her burgeoning reputation in the game with the invaluable experience of international competition.
West, conversely, is an established member of the Great Britain team, having captained the side to victory in last year's competition.
Set to serve as team captain for the second consecutive year, West joined Leicester over the summer.
"I’m really excited to be heading out to Paris with GB for my second Women’s Cup and I’m honoured to captain the team" said West, when asked about heading out to France.
"It’s a great opportunity to showcase women in the sport and I’m excited to play against the different teams like USA and Brazil."
Club chairman Rob Tarr will lead the squad of eight female athletes as head coach.
Scheduled to take place around the United Nations International Day of Disabled persons, the tournament will take place from December 2-8.
This year’s competition sees 60 athletes from around the globe competing for the title.
Team GB will battle the national teams from Brazil, Spain, Canada, the USA, Ireland and France as well as two guest mixed teams consisting of Australia, New Zealand, Korea and rest of the World.
