Former England Under-20s wing Sam Aspland-Robinson has agreed to join Leicester Tigers for the 2018/19 season.
As a student at Wellington College, Aspland-Robinson played in victorious teams in the Daily Mail Cup and Rosslyn Park Sevens, before joining the Harlequins academy where he gained international honours at two age-groups, including the Junior World Cup win in 2016 and an Under-20s Grand Slam campaign.
Tigers head coach Matt O’Connor said: “Sam has spent a lot of time in age-group representative sides and in Sevens rugby, and he has played at full-back and centre as well as on the wing.
“He is an ambitious young man who is looking for a new challenge and we look forward to seeing his continued development when he joins the Tigers squad in the summer.”
Aspland-Robinson, 21, said: “I am delighted to be joining Tigers and I’m looking forward to kicking on with the next stage of my career and working with the coaches and players there to hopefully take my game to the next level.”
