Tigers are Leicester’s modern day warriors,” says Canon Pete Hobson, Acting Canon Missioner and a Tigers season ticket holder.   “While the Big Boot is a bit of fun, the Community Appeal is part of our effort to raise money which jointly supports the CombatStress charity for military veterans and Leicester Cathedral’s costs of reburying Richard III.”   The King Richard III Community Appeal is a project for Leicester and Leicestershire which aims to raise £60,000 before the end of February.   Half of the money will go to the CombatStress charity.
