Dan Cole, Joe Heyes, George Martin, Guy Porter, Jack van Poortvliet, Freddie Steward, Anthony Watson and Ben Youngs have been retained as the England Rugby training squad have begun their third training camp ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

The eight Leicester Tigers will be based at at The Lensbury in south-west London.

The squad does not include players from Premiership finalists Sale Sharks and Saracens.

"I’m pleased with the progress that’s been made over the last two weeks and we look forward to another productive training camp at the Lensbury," said Borthwick.

"There’s still a long way to go until we are ready for a World Cup, but each day we take another step forward."
