Leicester Tigers begin celebrations of 125 years at Welford Road ahead of Sunday’s opening home game of the season and to mark the occasion the match programme will contain an update to the club’s Official History Book published in 2014.
Compiled by club historian Stuart Farmer and journalist David Hands, the History Book chronicles the story of the club in more than 500 pages, from its beginnings at the merger of three local clubs in 1880, with season-by-season narrative, full statistics and an encyclopaedia section with records and achievement of the club’s players and team over more than 130 years.
To bring this bang up to date, a special History Book Update is included with the 100-page matchday programme for this Sunday’s game against Bath Rugby covering the years from 2014 up to the end of last season.
Buy your programme and update for a special price of £4 from around the ground and at Tigers In The Park this Sunday.
Copies of the Tigers History Book are also still available for purchase and will include a copy of the latest update. Email [email protected] for more details.
