Eight youth teams were invited to Mattioli Woods Welford Road to take part in the second Prima Tiger Cup festival.

Taking to the famous pitch following Leicester Tigers 47-28 Round 20 Gallagher Premiership win over London Irish, teams from Lichfield, Sillhillians, Ashbourne, Kesteven, Norwich, Woodbridge, South Leicester and Ilkeston enjoyed the action under the lights. 

Thanks to the continued support of Prima Solutions Ltd, one of the club’s longest-serving sponsors, this popular event for under-10s teams kick is in it's 28th year.

Team were initially invited to play at the stadium following festivals at local club venues including Lichfield, Newark, Holt and Syston (which was unfortunately called off due to the weather), based on the Prima Tiger Cup's unique points system. 

The teams were then welcomed onto the pitch to compete in small-sided matches following the Round 20 match - check out some of the teams in action below. 

This season's Prima Tiger Cup with close with a special celebration day hosted at the stadium ahead of the Bristol Bears Gallagher Premiership home game on (Weekend 28 April).

Split into three matches, Market Harborough will play North Walsham in the Prima Tiger Shield, Holt will take on Bingham in the Prima Tiger Bowl with Norwich and Woodbridge in the  Prima Tiger Cup.
