Leicester Tigers are delighted to announce a new and extended three year partnership deal with the Nottingham Building Society (known as The Nottingham), which will benefit thousands of children and families in the Tigers region.

The partnership will include sponsorship of the new West Stand at the Aylestone Road end of the stadium as well as the club’s tag rugby programme and the Junior Tigers Club. The new stand will be called The Robin Hood Stand to represent The Nottingham’s brand.

Founded in 1849 The Nottingham is a leading regional building society and estate agency, with 56 branches throughout the East Midlands and beyond. Over the past three years it has extended its presence into Leicestershire and now has 12 branches across the county.

Tigers first welcomed The Nottingham as a partner in September 2015.

As part of the ongoing relationship, Tigers and The Nottingham will drive a programme which delivers five weeks of tag rugby to over 2,000 Key Stage 2 pupils in 50 primary schools around branches including Leicester city centre, Wigston, Market Harborough, Groby and Melton Mowbray.

The Nottingham is also a partner of the Junior Tigers Club, which has more than 45,000 members, and supports Tigers in the Park, the club’s free community event at the first home game of the season against Wasps on Saturday, September 10.

David Marlow, chief executive of The Nottingham, said: “At The Nottingham we are committed to investing in our communities and in particular supporting grassroots sports that give youngsters a chance to get involved.

“Extending our sponsorship to The Robin Hood Stand is a natural progression of our partnership with Leicester Tigers. It further demonstrates our desire to raise awareness of our unique all under one roof proposition that offers high quality financial and estate agency services and advice. We hope to welcome many Tigers fans as members over the coming years.”

Tigers chief executive, Simon Cohen, said: “We are delighted that The Nottingham has enjoyed such a strong relationship with the club already and has now chosen to extend that partnership for the new season.

“We look forward to working together and developing our links, especially in the continued growth of the Junior Tigers Club and our links with the community.”
