Tigers v Leinster tickets available

The pre-season fixture between Leicester Tigers and Leinster at Welford Road has been brought forward to Friday, August 27 (kick-off 7.30pm).

As the final match before Tigers begin their defence of the league title, the visit of 2009 European champions Leinster has been altered to avoid a fixture clash with neighbours Leicester City and will provide a great way to begin the Bank Holiday weekend with some top-class rugby at Welford Road.

Tigers season ticket holders are entitled to free admission to the game and it will be automatically loaded on to all season ticket cards. If you wish to purchase additional tickets for this fixture, please contact the Tigers ticket office.

Tickets for all other supporters are available now, priced just £10 for adults and £5 juniors. Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) are also available at £25.

Leicester Tigers managing director David Clayton said: “We had originally planned to play against Leinster on the Saturday, but that was before the football fixtures had been finalised.

“With Leicester City at home on that afternoon, we feel the best option is to stage our fixture on the Friday evening, which also allows an extra day’s preparations for the playing squad ahead of the first weekend of the Premiership season.

“Leinster have a quality squad and this game is an essential part of our build-up to the new season. We’re looking forward to a cracking match to kick off the Bank Holiday weekend.”

The Leinster fixture is the only home game of the summer. Tigers travel to Nottingham on Friday, August 13 (7.45pm) and go to Musgrave Park in Cork to face Munster on Friday, August 20 (7pm).
