As part of the Week One programme in the club's Phase One of return to training, players hit the Tigers gym under new, strict protocols in place to ensure safe conditions in line with government and health guidelines in place.
More than 45 members of the Tigers squad, not including members of the 2019/20 squad who will have contracts ending on June 30, for a return to squad sessions after three months training alone in the postponement period.
Jordan Taufua and Nephi Leatigaga were also not present during the first week back as the duo only arrived back into the United Kingdom this week following compassionate leave to return to New Zealand while in lock-down, to spend time with family in their homeland.
As well as strength sessions, in doors, the players were put through their paces on the training pitches to re-condition them ahead of a hopeful return to play date in mid-August.
As part of the protocols in place, players can not train in groups larger than 10 and must maintain social distancing measures throughout the day, in addition to adhering to strict guidelines including, but not limited to, consistent hand washing, exclusion from various areas inside the training ground and limited time on site.
